PEIGAN BOARD OF EDUCATION TRANSPORTATION – SCHOOL BUS DRIVER
Overview
Peigan Board of Education is inviting applications for a School Bus Driver. The Peigan Board of Education is committed to delivering School Bus services in a way that earns the trust, respect and confidence of the Piikani community. A School Bus Driver is responsible for the safe, courteous, mature and professional transportation of Piikani Nation students to and from school.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Superior driving and maneuvering skills, adhering to traffic regulations and the regulations of the Peigan Board of Education Policies and Procedures
- Solid communication skills, both written and oral
- Provide safe, courteous and reliable transportation to Piikani students
- Reliable and punctual in reporting for work
- Maintain strict route schedules
- Perform Bus “housekeeping” (sweeping, cleaning windows, etc.)
Qualifications
- Valid class 1, class 2, class 2 with S-endorsement, with the ability to successfully obtain a Class 2 – S MELT
- Flexibility to work under evolving conditions as Peigan Board of Education Transportation strives to continuously improve service levels
- Positive attitude working in a team environment
- Ability to maintain focus and exercise care and caution in a child-centered environment
- Physical strength and dexterity to perform demanding job duties
- Mature and Professional
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Possession of valid Emergency CPR and First Aid certification will be an asset.
PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WITH A CURRENT CLASS 1, 2
