PUBLIC NOTICE – SCHOOL AND TRANSPORTATION REOPEN AS OF MARCH 1, 2021
Due to the decreasing numbers of active Covid cases in Piikani Nation, PBOE schools will be operating for students and buses. This includes buses to/from Pincher Creek and Fort Macleod.
Scenario #2 – In School Classes Partially Resume With Additional Health Measures Including Cohorts
Cohort B – Start date March 1-5, 2021
Cohort A – Start date March 8-12, 2021
PBOE wants to remind families & students as with all pandemic related activities, there is risk involved in having your children leave your home. PBOE has taken additional health measures to decrease risk for your child/ren by increasing sanitizing on busses and when in school.
A reminder: If your child/ren have one or more Covid symptoms (running nose, coughing, sneezing, fever, headaches, chills or other flu-like symptoms – please keep your child/ren at home until symptoms end. PBOE recommends that your child/ren also book an appointment for a Covid test. Any child/ren who attends school with these symptoms will be required to return home.
Wear a mask on the bus and at school.
Hand sanitize.
Keep our Piikani Nation safe.
