Casual Standby School Bus Operators needed

Duties and Responsibilities

• Superior driving and maneuvering skills, adhering to traffic regulations and the regulations of the Peigan Board of Education Policies and Procedures
• Solid communication skills, both written and oral
• Flexibility to work split shifts
• Provide safe, courteous and reliable transportation to Piikani students
• Reliable and punctual in reporting for work
• Maintain strict route schedules
• Perform Bus “housekeeping” (sweeping, cleaning windows, etc.)

Qualifications

• Valid class 1, class 2, class 2 with S-endorsement or a class 5 Operator’s license as a minimum requirement, with the ability to successfully obtain a Class 2 – S MELT
• Flexibility to work under evolving conditions as Peigan Board of Education Transportation strives to continuously improve service levels
• Positive attitude working in a team environment
• Ability to maintain focus and exercise care and caution in a child-centered environment
• Physical strength and dexterity to perform demanding job duties
• Mature and Professional
• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Possession of valid Emergency CPR and First Aid certification will be an asset.
